It’s not funny

If you ask me, joke telling is a real skill—at least, it used to be.

I can remember people memorizing and repeating jokes with real flair. And I always looked forward to seeing those people because I knew a new joke would be ready. The great tellers always remember the best stories and deliver them perfectly.

Today, jokes come from the internet. They are electronic, social communication. We forward them in email, share them on YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. I can even ask Cortana to “Tell me a joke” and it will; it’s kinda sad.

Technology is great. Social media is wonderful. But because of them, joke telling is becoming a lost art, and cats are taking over comedy.  So, if you know any good jokes, please share them in the comments.
